As well as the dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists who make up part of the clinic’s healthcare staff, there are other professionals without whom it would be impossible to obtain excellent results for our patients. They are part of the dental laboratory and work behind the scenes: dental technicians.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The role of the laboratory, and therefore of dental technicians, is to design, reproduce and repair dental prothesis and teeth to perfection<\/strong>, following the specifications that the dentist has prescribed with the restorative dentistry treatment.<\/p>\n

Communication between the dentist and the laboratory technician allows for a complete and reliable exchange of information during the manufacturing process of any tooth. From the initial patient consultation through diagnosis and treatment planning to the final fitting of the prothesis, the two must be in constant contact with each other.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Dental technicians must be skilled with their hands and have meticulous precision to carry out their creative work, as each prothesis, whether fixed or removable, is unique<\/strong> and this makes their trade a fundamentally artisanal profession<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

IGB Laboratory is designed and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to design and manufacture all types of dental prothesis (temporary, removable, fixed), orthodontics<\/strong> and veneers.<\/p>\n

Its dental technicians are specialists in the different areas that comprise it: design, fixed and removable prothesis and orthodontics<\/strong>. The laboratory is also equipped with an extraoral scanner and Exocad design software, 3D printer, dry milling machines for zirconia and PMMA and wet milling machines for veneers<\/strong>, firing furnaces for ceramics and sintering furnaces for zirconia.<\/p>\n

In order to achieve a more natural looking tooth, the dental technician selects the shades and applies them artistically by hand to each tooth<\/strong>, detailing the particular anatomical and colour characteristics and customising them to each patient.
